ARTIST STATEMENT

My work delves into the intersection of mental illness, gender expression, and their collision with the world around me. Using a mix of materials like acrylic house paints, fluorescent pigments, paint markers, and found objects, I create pieces that transform everyday materials into reflections of my internal landscape. Drawing from street art, iconography, and portraiture, my art is raw, confrontational, and sometimes chaotic, capturing the visceral tension between visibility and invisibility, pain and hope.

Through vivid hues and fragmented forms, I explore the complexity of personal identity and the broader societal constructs that shape our lives. Each piece serves as a dialogue between my experiences and the world, giving voice to the often disorienting realities of mental health and gender identity while inviting viewers to reflect on their own perceptions. My goal is to create a language through art that resonates universally, no translation needed.
